Bottega Veneta × Domo Löw — “Journey Notes” Concept Project
Problem
For my final merchandising project, I explored how a heritage luxury brand could build cultural relevance through an artist collaboration rooted in place and storytelling.
The challenge was to design a hypothetical collaboration that feels authentic to Bottega Veneta’s identity while opening new dialogue with a younger, art-driven audience.
Goal
To create a conceptual collaboration between Bottega Veneta and Swiss illustrator Domo Löw, representing a cultural bridge between my home country, Switzerland, and Italy — where Bottega’s craftsmanship originates.
The project aimed to define how assortment, pricing, and visual storytelling could merge art and commerce in a refined, collectible way.
Solution
I developed the concept Journey Notes — a narrative that connects the act of travel, observation, and creation.
Key project components included:
• Defining the product assortment across bags, small leather goods, and ready-to-wear
• Designing visual patterns and motifs inspired by Domo Löw’s art style and Swiss landscapes
• Establishing price architecture and merchandising logic for a limited-edition collection
• Planning distribution and retail storytelling, including pop-up and gallery integration
• Creating visual and communication assets to express the collaboration’s artistic and emotional tone
Result
The project demonstrates how fashion merchandising and artistic storytelling can intersect to build cultural value and commercial clarity.
It presents a model for cross-cultural luxury collaborations, where design, geography, and emotion meet to form a new language of quiet, collectible luxury.
